Using our job skills assessments, you can determine which employees are right for which positions, what skills are still needed and what training programs will be best for each individual. Our assessment tools are available at no cost to employers, connect you to our pipeline of skilled workers, and help you avoid costly hiring mistakes.

Job Skills Training Program

The Job Skills Training Program (JSTP) has developed a comprehensive approach to job skills training and job placement for individuals with barriers to employment. JSTP partners work with social service and community agencies, the business community and industry sectors to provide case management, job internships, workforce readiness training and job follow-up.

Career Readiness Certificate

The Virginia Career Readiness Certificate and the National Career Readiness Certificate are portable credentials that certify workplace employability skills and the potential for education/training. (For a list of employers who recognize the CRC, visit the Virginia CRC website.) These assessments measure real-world skills that employers believe are critical to job success, and questions are based on everyday situations found in the work environment.
